Scouting the Mavericks: UNO comes into Friday’s game in third place in the NCHC on 33 points, six behind both North Dakota and St. Cloud State in a tie for first on 39…The Mavericks picked up their fourth consecutive split last weekend at Western Michigan, winning 5-1 Feb. 21 before allowing four unanswered third-period goals in the rematch in a 5-3 win for the Broncos…Forward Josh Archibald is second in the NCAA in goals with 26, trailing only Boston College’s Hobey Baker Award favorite Johnny Gaudreau, who has 29 with three more games played than Archibald…Ryan Massa gets the start in the UNO nets Friday. Scouting the Tigers: CC is currently in seventh place in the NCHC on 24 points, eight points behind Minnesota-Duluth and seven above Miami in last place on 17…The Tigers won the Gold Pan, the traveling trophy between CC and Denver, for the 12th time all-time last weekend…Senior goaltender Josh Thorimbert starts Friday for CC. He has factored in each game this season for the Tigers and has an even .900 save percentage and 2.97 goals-against average…Form: W-SOL-SOW-W-W.
