Scouting the Mavericks: UNO forward Josh Archibald picked up his third game-winning goal of the season Friday, coming into the Michigan zone on a breakaway in the third period before beating Wolverines goaltender Zach Nagelvoort to put UNO up 3-2, a scoreline that held until the end of the game…UNO blocked a season-high 22 shots Friday, including nine in the third period. Two Mavericks defensemen led the way in terms of that that in the game, with Brian O’Rourke blocking seven shots and Michael Young blocking seven…With Friday’s 3-2 win, UNO has now played in six one-goal games this season, winning four of them and losing two…Freshman goaltender Reed Peters will get his first collegiate start Saturday. He did make one appearance last Sunday in relief against North Dakota and picked up the loss as the game-winning goal went in on his watch…Form (last five results): OTW-OTW-W-L-W.

Scouting the Wolverines: Michigan’s loss to UNO Friday was the Wolverines’ first road defeat of the season. the Wolverines are now 0-3-0 against the Mavericks at CenturyLink Center…U-M forward Luke Moffatt netted a goal and an assist Friday against the Mavericks, and freshman forward JT Compher picked up his first collegiate goal and assisted on Moffatt’s tally…Both of U-M’s goals Friday came on the power play, and the Wolverines finished 2-for-4 on the night when playing with a numerical advantage…Steve Racine gets the start in net for the Wolverines Saturday. In three appearances so far this season, he has a 2-0-0 record, a 2.23 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage…Form: W-L-OTW-W-L.
