SCOUTING THE MAVERICKS: Sophomroe goaltender Dayn Belfour is a surprise starter for Friday’s game against North Dakota. Belfour hasn’t played so far this season, although there’s a UND angle in that his father, the NHL great Ed Belfour, is a UND alum…Sophomore forward Josh Archibald has points in eight straigt games, and had a goal and an assist last weekend at home to Michigan Tech…UNO has given up the first goal in five of the Mavericks’ last six games…Junior forward Ryan Walters, a Hobey Baker Award hopeful for UNO, had an 11-game point streak snapped last Saturday against MTU…Form (last five results): T-W-W-W-OTL.
