Scouting the Mavericks: UNO currently sits in sixth place in the WCHA standings with one game to go. A win over Denver on Saturday would clinch home ice for the Mavericks for the first round of the league playoffs, which start next week…The Mavericks are winless in their last five home games, going 0-4-1…UNO has not scored a single power play goal in its last 14 opportunities with the numerical advantage…Only three centers are listed on UNO’s line chart for Saturday’s game, and seldom-used (of late, anyway) freshman goaltender Dayn Belfour starts in the Maverick nets…Form (last six results): W-L-W-L (OT)-L-L.

He has had an injury-hit season, winning four games and putting up a .916 save percentage…Form: W (OT)-W-L-L-W-W.
