Scouting the Mavericks: An assist from UNO defenseman Bryce Aneloski extended the junior blueliner’s point-scoring streak to ten games. Scouting the Gophers: Gopher head coach Don Lucia will be coaching his 1,000th game on Saturday. He has a 591-325-83 lifetime record as a head coach, splitting time between Alaska, Colorado College and Minnesota…Minnesota can clinch at least a share of the MacNaughton Cup, given to the WCHA’s regular season champion(s) if the Gophers win and Minnesota Duluth loses at home to Colorado College…The Gophers have scored at least three goals in each of their last six games and are 4-2-0 over that stretch.
