NOTES:
UMD captain Jack Connolly hardly ingratiated himself to the UNO faithful on Saturday. Following Terry Broadhurst’s go-ahead goal for the Mavericks late in the first period, Connolly hit the fish that a fan tossed onto the ice – as happens after UNO’s first goal at every home game – and his every touch of the puck in the game’s final 40 minutes was greeted with boos from the crowd…Blais played five UNO forwards that, before Saturday’s game, did not have a single point between them in their collegiate careers. After the 3-1 win, that number of players yet to earn a point as Mavericks dropped to three…UNO is now 8-0-2 when scoring first in a game.
